Ending a sprint

Once the defined time-period for your sprint finishes, the sprint ends.

Sprints can be ended automatically or manually.

Auto-end

You can set a sprint to start automatically by setting a Sprint end day in the .

Manually

To manually start a sprint, click End sprint at the top of the .

What happens when a sprint "ends"?

When a sprint ends:

  • Final sprint metrics for the team and each member (burndown, etc) are tabulated

  • The sprint is locked - issues can no longer be added or removed.

What happens to unfinished issues?

Unfinished issues can be carried over to the next sprint in the series. Carryover conditions can be set in the or configured in the for the next sprint.
