Overview

Triage is a centralized queue for your team that consolidates issues which require review or are missing details before they enter the backlog. This gives your team an easy way to review and update new issues, or issues that are missing important details.

Configuration

For example, if your backlog requires an issue status of Ready for work and estimates, any issues that have an issue status of Created and/or are missing an estimate will show up in the triage queue.

Tabs

The triage queue is separated into 3 tabs:

  1. Assigned to me: Issues that need review and are assigned to you

  2. Assigned to others: Issues that need review and are assigned to someone on your team

  3. Unassigned: Issues that need review and aren't assigned to anyone

Updating issues

In triage, issue details appear side-by-side with the queue. To view the details of a specific issue, select it in the queue.

At the top of the issue card, a callout will indicate the information that's missing/needs to be updated in order for the issue to enter into the backlog. For example, it may indicate that an issue needs an estimate and an updated status.

Once the required details are added, the issue will disappear from the queue and enter into the backlog.

Snoozing issues

Issues that appear in triage can be snoozed by clicking on Snooze at the top right of the issue card. Snoozing an issue will remove it from your queue until your next visit.

The issues that show up in your triage queue will be based on your . Any issues that are open but do not meet the conditions of your backlog will show up in triage.

Issues can also be marked as invalid or cancelled by changing the issue status. If issues are moved to a closed/null , they will be removed from triage without entering the backlog.
